Company Profile
Chao Yang Chairman Chiu Hsin-fu comes from a farming family and has a deep passion for agriculture. He previously worked in the financial sector for over twenty years. Deeply believing that agriculture must return to a nature-, environment-, and land-friendly development model, he established Asia's first integrated solar-powered leisure farm combining solar energy and agriculture on 6.7 hectares of land in Mailiao in December 2013.
Despite facing numerous difficulties and challenges, Chao Yang has adhered to its core value of "being right for people, land, and environment" for the past ten years since its establishment. It is committed to building a green economy platform, using solar power generation as a green engine, promoting the development of green agriculture through its unique six-level agricultural strategy, and driving the promotion of green education. Chao Yang has become a practitioner of the green economy and a sharer of the experience of happiness.
In recent years, under the threat of extreme climate change, concepts such as carbon reduction, carbon neutrality, renewable energy, and ESG have become prominent topics of discussion. Taiwan faces a shortage of renewable energy, while green electricity construction is struggling to proceed smoothly and quickly. The key to this problem lies in land use. Against this backdrop, Chao Yang's decade-long work on combining green electricity and green agriculture not only aligns with the concept of sustainable development but also proposes a possible solution for achieving net-zero carbon emissions green energy development by 2050—a "co-prosperous agriculture and electricity" model that uses electricity to power agriculture and vice versa.
"Along the way, although we have explored different directions, we have never strayed from our original aspirations. We insist that doing the right things, things, environment, and land is a blessing. We have been doing the right thing for ten years without giving up, and we will continue to do so in the future."
---Chiu Hsin-fu, Chairman of Chao Yang Group
